4/19 – 7:00 PM – TUCSON POETRY FESTIVAL READING: Sara will be performing poems from Atom City and from a new manuscript, Real Interior.

4/19 – 12:15 PM – TUCSON POETRY FESTIVAL WORKSHOP: Free and open to the public,”Poetry Collider: A Workshop” will guide participants in learning how concepts from the discipline of particle physics, as discovered in the past century, can lead us to a deeper understanding of our perceptive faculties— and of the poems we most need to write. 

4/22 – 5:00 PM: THE IMAGINARY PRESENT: The University of Arizona English Department presents new work by poet & scholar, Professor Amy Catanzano. After sharing work from her new book, The Imaginary Present: Essays in Quantum Poetics, Professor Catanzano will join interdisciplinary thinkers– poet Dr. Susan Briante, astronomer Dr. Kevin Hainline, and PhD candidate in Physics, Maria Mutz, to discuss questions about language, theoretical frameworks, research methodologies, gamifying physics, and more. Please join us at in Meinel Optical Sciences, Room 410. Light refreshments will be served.
